Lukta på blommorna...

Hejsan!

Black Birds

*Just wanted to let you all know that I´ve noticed that some of you think it is earrings but they are not! (to big for that) Just some sort of charms or whatever you call it in the states... ;)

Yep thats this weeks challenge over at Smudgy Antics and my DT work is charms to hang on a tag or a card...

I´ve used 3 digis from Smeared Ink: "Raven Wings - Quoth the Raven" (one on each charm and they are covered with a heavy layer of clear UTEE) then I used "Raven 1 - Quoth the Raven" on one fragment/plastic charm from Tim Holtz and "Raven 2 - Quoth the Raven" on the other fragment/charm. The back of them both is covered with black UTEE.

Added some pearls and feathers to match.

Hop over and see what my awesome team mates made!

Thank you!

Colour combo...

This week at Smudgy Antics we want you to use a colour theme when you create.
Use at least 3 from this chart.

I want to tell you about my project then...
Started up with the background where I used Specialty Stamping Paper, distressed it with crushed olive and black soot distress ink pad. Then I did the "Blended distressed/Spritz and Flick" technique used by Tim Holtz.

Wanted to decorate a black candle so I´ve used a punch from EK SUCCESS "bat border" and organza trimming wrapped around it with a corset binding (used some grey eyelets for that). For decoration I used Shrink Plastic (printed out on shrink plastic made for Ink Jet printers) for the skull from Smeared Ink that you can find here and a charm "hand made" from my own stash. The mini bats are as you can see left overs from the punch outs.

Did a matching card where I used part of the " Quoth the raven" set. Printed out the background "grate" from the set on my distressed paper. decorated with organza trimming and a die from quickutz. printed out one of the ravens from the set with regular cardstock, mounted on 3d tape and the same with the text that also comes from the set "quoth the raven".

Think I used all the colours..Yay! :)

Hope you can join us and don´t forget to check out my team mates who made some awesome inspiration! here

Bad pick, yes I know ;)

Thank you!

A touch of spice

This weeks challenge over at Smudgy Antics is called "Sugar & Spice".

I made a card and used the beautiful "Luna - women of power" that you can find here: SHOP .

So I wanted to add something "spicy" to this "sugar" image and what can be more spicy than blood!? :)

Printed her out on watercolor paper and colored her with distress ink refill and some neon color gel pens. Printed out her hair piece ones more and fussy cut, and colored to get it to "pop" a little bit.

The "blood" is liquid pearls "ruby red" it´s a bit thicker and gives a nice effect. The blood splotches is first added to a non - stick craft sheet and set to dry. After that they are removable and can easily be attatched to whatever you want. You can even write with liquid pearls on craft sheet then set to dry, after that the are removable as well so it´s a funny thing to do :)

Hope you got some inspiration from this and got your mojo flowing with all things sugar & spice!

Don´t forget to check out the other talented DT members!

Thank you for watching and get on over to SMUDGY ANTICS :)

Papelitos Stamps

I was asked by the owner of Papelitos Stamps if I wanted to guest design and of course I said, Yes! :)

Today I´m taking part in the " Anything Goes"  Challenge.

I used the pretty stamp "Alice" and colored her with distress markers and tombows.

Text stamp from Tim Holtz that is heat embossed.

Tack för titten!

Thank you for watching!

UTEE SKULL

This weeks challenge over at Smudgy Antics is called "TIC-TAC-TOE (three in a row)"

I´ve used SKULL, 3D and EMBOSS.

Covered a 6*6 inch canvas with black crumbled tissue paper, two layers (added with decoupage finish).

Printed the digi "Skull - Quoth the Raven" on patterned lilac scrap paper. painted the teeth with uni-ball signo pen.
Glued it to a heavy black cardstock and while wet I bent the whole skull for dimension (3D look).
Also distressed it with black distress ink.

Now came the hard part...covering the skull with UTEE. I used my new tool the melting pot but when covering this big piece I had to use my embossing gun to smooth the UTEE and it took me a while to get this finish :) but I did so here it is.

I´m quite happy with the result :)

Thank you for watching and get on over to SMUDGY ANTICS :)

Vinnare!

FRIGHT NIGHT

This weeks challenge over at HDH is 148 "Bad Moon Rising" and my project for it is a card.

I know Fright Night is the name of a vamp movie but I wasn´t inspired by it for this card. My thought was to make a "fright night scene"

Used a masking technique for the cloud background with distress ink pad "black soot" and sponge.

Created a "raining blood sky" with dylusions ink spray "postbox red" and a pipette (the same technique on words).

Some cloud die-cuts and spellbinder bat dies. A bat stamp and a skull winged stamp both from Swedish design.

The wicked witch digi is WITCHYMOU from Ikes´ Art.

Covered the witch with a mix of one step crackle from Dovecraft and dylusions spray-postbox red.

Just to show the crackle and 3d effect

Covered the letters with sakura glace-clear

Thank you!
