Reptile Rampage

Hi,

It´s monday and time for the weekly challenge over at Smudgy Antics with this weeks theme - Reptile Rampage

Reptile: 1.) Any various cold-blooded, usually egg-laying vertebrates of the class Reptilia (think snake, lizard, crocodile, turtle, dinosaur, or dragon).

Reptile:  2.) A person being regarded as despicable or treacherous.

Rampage:  Violent or excited behavior that is reckless, uncontrolled, or destructive.

We are asking you to incorporate the spirit of a reptile rampage into your project for the week.  There are several directions you can take this prompt.  You can use an image of a reptile or you can use papers or textures that resemble a reptile's skin, or in the case of a turtle, its shell.  You can throw caution to the wind and get reckless in the creation of your project by ripping, tearing, and distressing a project almost to the point of destruction while still maintaining an awesome piece.  This theme would be great for art journal pages too.  Show us, through your art, a time where you may have been reckless or on a rampage.  Too much?  How about doing a journal piece or ATC about someone or something you regard as despicable or treacherous?  If it is NOT EVIDENT as to how you used the challenge theme REPTILE RAMPAGE in your project, please explain it in your blog post.

- I painted a canvas with white gesso and then covered it with light green distress ink. Covered the whole canvas with distress crackle paint and set to dry. When dried I covered the cracks in the paint with distress stain peeled paint. The edges is just black acrylic paint and some crackle paint. My thought behind the background was for it to look like reptile skin.

Coloured the "Skull Keeper Digi Single- Dragon Love" from Smeared Ink with distress markers and water. Covered it with MicroGlace and some varnish on the wings for shine.

The swirls is Tim Holts grungeboard that I first covered with distress stain and then some heat embossing and pens for detail.

Kort med Bo Bunny

Jag har gjort ett kort med papper från Bo Bunny och även dekos ifrån den serien.
Jag tänkte vara med i Månadens Utmaning med denna där man skulle inspireras utav en skiss med en liten twist att det skulle vara med 3 av något.

Det är 3 lager papper på kortbasen.
Det är 3st  bruna remsor.
Det är kvistkluster med 3st kvistar i varje.
Det är 3st rosor på vardera sida.
Det är 3st fjärilar.

Time...

Hi,

Time for the weekly Smudgy Antics challenge - "Time Stands Still".

*I know with the holidays fast approaching it feels like time is flying by at a dizzying pace.   Everyone is rushing around getting shopping done, planning parties, and buying presents.  Many will be celebrating their holiday of choice soon and before you know it we will be bringing in the New Year!

We at Smudgy Antics are asking you to slow it down a bit for this challenge.  Not only will time be slowing down, it will be at a complete stop because this week's theme is "TIME STANDS STILL".  

 I´ve used 2 digi stamps from Smeared Ink: "It's About Time Pocketwatch Digi Single" and "It's About Time Hourglass Digi Single"

Started off with the background of tag that I covered with different colors of Disress Stain and set to dry. printed out the hourglass directly on tag and then coloured some details and added some spider webs with pen. Covered the whole hourglass with Glossy Accent and did the same with pocketwatch (added a black chain to the clock but it doesn´t show that well). Distresssed the tag with black soot distress ink. The black cogs is from two silicon molds that I bought on Etsy, filled them with black enamel from melting pot and some silver wax on top.

*There will only be 1 winner so show us the best you can do and don´t forget that it has to be stamped somewhere digi or rubber.

My offering for this hop is a altered pen container. I wanted it to look fantasy like...so I coloured the Rusalka Digi Single from Smeared ink with my Gelly Roll Sakura Glitter pens and I coloured her as described in a version of myths that you can find: here

I wanted it to look like a fantasy forest so I decorated black tree die-cuts (THSizzix die) with metal dragonflies and for the back I made a corset binding with organza ribbon and matching eyelets.

Twisted in dylusions...

time for the weekly Smudgy Antics challenge which is "Twsted Sister".

It was a bit challenging with this theme...

 I´ve used a new digi stamp from Smeared ink:  Kristy Digi Single- Freaky Girl 
I thought she looked a bit twisted :)

Started with the background where I used different colours of Dylusions Ink Spray then I used a mask from Dylusions. Stamped some swirls over the whole tag in pink and then a filmstrip stamp in black. Inked/dragged the edges with a regular black ink pad. I coloured the girl with only Gelly Roll Sakura Pens.

*There will only be 1 winner so show us the best you can do and don´t forget that it has to be stamped somewhere digi or rubber.

Danse Macabre

Hi,

time for the weekly Smudgy Antics challenge wich is 3 in a row.

I choosed  metal  / monochrome / doodle

and I´ve used three digi stamps from Smeared ink:  Danse Macabre Digi Set (text), Dance - As Death    and  Plaque - As Death (a part of) the moon in my project.
